Hey all, new member here, didn't find much on the forum about this, or anywhere else with a very similar issue.


Basically, randomly once or twice a week now, for a couple weeks, my car's brake lights (right/left and bar lights) come on in the middle of the night, usually I find out when I wake up in the morning. At first I thought maybe the sidewalk plow hit my bumper, but to no avail.

Also to further complicate things, sometimes only the left and right lights come on, 3rd brake light (middle bar) doesn't come on


My dad brought home a brake light switch to get put in, but is now skeptical if that's the only issue.

just wondered if anyone else has had this problem before?
