Audi A4 3.2 car runs but doesn’t get into gears

Hi guys I have a a4 3.2 v6 123,000 km and the car still works but I was driving and my gears started skipping and boom lost all gears

I can shift and move the gears but nothing catches.
No reverse or drive and my triptronic doesn’t work

if anyone knows anything please any info will help thanks

Have you done the basics like check the fluid? Any CEL?

Yes. When we pulled oil pan off for tranny oil didn’t smell burnt or didn’t look too used either. No metal shaving were on the magnet.

i was driving and it started skipping third gear and then fourth. Plugged it in and no faults. Then the car went into limp mode to protect itself. Turned the car off and it went away. Drove a bit more and it just stopped working altogether the transmission would not grab gears at all
