A4 Quattro vibration in gear at stop
New member posting new thread. 2007 A4 Quattro vibrates while in gear, at a stop. Have been told needs new motor mounts but also found some info on line which may indicate a cam wearing which effects the high pressure fuel pump and imminent failure. Also saw small amount of info indicating that a Tech. Bullitin may have been issued for the problem but could not find one on official site. Any info out there on this would be immensely helpful
Pretty sure this one fo those quirks of the Audi automatic transmission. My cars are manual so have never had vibration problems at idle. A friend has a Tiptronic and they had this issue and complained to their dealer - they partially fixed the symptom but there are many reports of similar problems in the other Audi forums. Sorry can't provide any more info - general search might be more useful for you.
I have this on . my 2006 A4 with 148000km. I was told it was mounts and had them replaced. was not the problem in my case. Mounts are available from rock Auto at 1/3 of the cost as OE. Someone said it could be Harmonic balancer,Again every case is different.
