Hey guys
New to the forum and audi ownership
I have an 06 avant with the 2.0 liter engine tiptronic
When idling the engine has a slight vibration you can actually see and feel on the steering wheel
Kinda loud when you are outside

One more thing
Drives beautifully, but when coming to a stop it feels a little harsh when she shifts down from 3rd to second
Not sure if this could be tied to the engine and the rough idle

Can anyone else with the same vehicle confirm that their engine is nice and smooth with no vibration when at a stop

no cel or check engine light on?

what kind of noise is it making when idle?

does your speedometer go up and down while ur in park?

No check engine light
To be perfectly honest it sounds almost like a nice quiet diesel engine
The tach does not move up or down
I have taken it to the dealer and voiced my complaint, they checked it and no codes coming up
Anyways after I took it in and they ordered a serpentine belt, not sure what the connection is
I picked it up today and the manager said to try it out -- It is no better after the belt change, it actually might even be worse
So the manager said to take it home and see if there is a difference now-- but there is none.
I thought I would check out the forum to see what other people with the 2 liter engine have to say about theirs.

i don't own a 2.0t, i have the old 1.8t. Anyway, i've read quite a few posts in other forums about people complaning about their engine being loud like a diesel. Seems to be the trait of the engine, nothing wrong with it.
