I am new to this forum , i have a A4 3.0 , currently looking for winter wheels . any suggestions . stock is 17 but i would like to go with 15 0r 16 , will 1.8T 15 inch wheels clear the brakes ? or i will have to go with at least the stock 16 ? thanks for the help guys

I've got an '02 A4. I run 15" stealies in the winter. They clear fine...in fact, that's the dealer recommended size. Have a look at the sticker (I think it's on the jam of the passenger door), it gives wheel size.

If you wanted to stay with 17" rims fo the winter, I'll sell you my stockers if you want. $550. They have some rash, but who cares in the winter!

 

i was thinking 15 inches should fit too but i was checking the spec on the 1.8T and the 3.0 . 3.0 has bigger rotors I am not sure will they 15 inches clears it . i am trying to stay away from 17 inch unless I can find a set really cheap . but thanks for the offer pm me if u want if out of your garage .

I upgraded my brakes to the 3.0 and currently use 17" for winters (picked up a cheap old rims from craigslist and slapped on some Blizzaks). I am not sure if 15" will clear your brakes.

Have you thought about using your existing stock rims for winter and then upgrading to 18s for the summer?

 

15" will not fit over the 3.0 rotors. I have 3.0's and 16's fit fine. Here's a pic:

BTW would 99 A4 16 inches rims clear my brakes . anyone know which stockers would clear the 3.0 for sure ?

 

Found these locally they are from older A4s , would they clear the brakes for the A4 3.0 ? sorry for asking so many newbie questions here . I just don't have too much knowledge on audi
