Question What Tire Options for my new 2002 A4 3.0 V6 16's vs 17's rims???

Hi I just got my 2002 Audi 3.0 v6 quattro and it came with 215/55/16 what I wanted to do is get a second set of winter rims or use these rims for winter and get WS 60 Bridgestones. However what wheel size options do I have to choose that will fit on the car and not change the speedo?

According to online specs if the car was a sport model you could go with 17 x 7.5 rim with 235/45/17 tires with 45 offset is that my only other choice for car ? That is fine but just curious as shopping for rims and wheels not a lot of 16 x 7 with 5 x 112 42 offset out there?

Also can you put these 17 inch rims on this non sport model and the car will still perform well? What will happen to ride? Will it handle better in summer? I assume that better idea to put 17's on for summer and keep OEM 16's for winter?

Any light shed on this would help greatly or experience what difference using 17's over 16's would do?

Lastly any recommendations where in Canada to buy so do not have to pay duty and brokerage?

Cheers

Your car can handle 16s, 17s, 18s and 19s. If you stick with OEM rims you will never have a problem.

Use your 16s as winters and buy some summer rims that are 17 or 18s.

As far as where to buy I can't help you there. I will be buying my rims from the states somewhere but thats mainly because I live right at the border.

Thanks elevation I think that is what I will do. I hope to find some places in Canada who can sell at the same price as USA.

At the tire shop they told me today that I can use a offset from 35-45 no problem is that true?

Cheers
