Obviously you don't own an Audi with the 3.0 V6.

Obviously I do not use 10W30 or non Castrol either.

The fact that the Audi A4 3.0 burns oil is well document. If you know how to use Google, check it out yourself. Are you trying to say that if Audi A4 3.0 owners switch away from 10W30 or move to Castrol all of the oil burning issues will go away, or are you just being a smart ass?

Re: V6 Overfill Oil

I say Castrol and Castrol and Castrol, but nobody believes me. This is the only oil that will keep your engine cool and clean. I do not know why, yet this is my experience gained over 25 years with VW and AUDI engines. Pennzoil and Mobil and Motul do the job at 80% of what Castrol does. Overtime this 20% accumulates to a problem that could have been avoided all together.

When you drove 2000km on your oil and you drain it out it has to be black, otherwise this "black" stays in your engine. On Pennzoil for example - I drained it after 5000 km and it came out clean as honey! This is not a good sign.

If you do not try it, you will not know it.

Also the notion of using 5W30 or 10W30 is absolutely ridiculous and costly. In the engine with compression of 10:1 and 5 Valves on top of it and Turbo in some cases there is just no way that 10W30 will protect the engine.

I recommend 15W40 or if somebody is allergic to it use 10W40 minimum.

Sorry Adamstasiak, I'm just trying to make sense of your statements. You boldly stated that the 3.0 V6 does not burn oil. So in your "expert" opinion are you saying that the entire problem with Audi's burning oil (3.0 engine and all others) is simply the brand of oil that is used? I find that hard to believe.

Sorry buddy, but you called me a Dumbo so I'm going to ride your ass on this one.

In that case, I'll let you off the hook. ;-) Sorry but I'm argumentative and easily offended.
