Hello, I had a rear differential go on my A4 1.8T Audi quattro. I called a scrap yard to get used rear differential. I went and picked it up. got home really looked at differential. A little different than mine. looked on receipt and on the reciept it read for 2007 A4 2.0 quattro. My question is will a 2007 rear differential fit a 2004 A4 1.8T?

 

not sure if it would fit but if it does interchange I would call the dealer with your vin and get the gear ratio for your car and see if you can see the ratio for the new rear end you have, thats the first place I'd start, what happened to your rear end to make it go out?
