Unhappy Pulled up on a parking block, coolant now leaking

I pulled up on a parking block and when I came back later a bunch of coolant had leaked out. It didn't leak for a little while and now it's leaking constantly. My check engine light has also turned on Took it to dealership for scheduled maintenance and they said my warranty was expired! I have a 2005 but they said the car was manu. in 04 so the warranty was expired. Couldnt afford their outrageous fees so I just left. My dad is a mechanic so I'm going to have him take a look at it. Any tips as to why my check engine light has now turned on? I'm so pissed that audi won't honor the warranty, I bought it used thinking I was covered til 09. So lame.

Well the CEL came on obviously because of the coolant leak! It should not be anything else!

AFAIK, it is the "In Service Date" that starts the warranty clock counting, not the manufactured date. Any Audi dealership should be able to tell you the vehicle original In Service date.

There is also a warranty transfer paperwork and fee process that you have completed as part of assuming ownership of a used Audi that has factory warranty remaining.

Suggest to call Audi for warranty confirmation if you are not sure.

As for the coolant leak, it should be inspected asap as there is typically a transmission cooler attached to lower rad. If the rad took a hit hard enough to cause a coolant leak, it's possible there are other immediate concerns too.
