I'd check for wheel bearing as well.

Also a might be a little late now but watch how much steering lock you have turned when playing in the snow. Heard reports of power steering pump failure from extended steering lock. Manual recommends not holding full lock for more than about 15 seconds at a time to avoid that issue.

Ladies and Gentlemen we have a solution... FINALLY!! after exhaustively seaching for a solution and all the help I received on this forum (thank you for that) I have determined what is causing the noise. Brother in law looked at the car and he noticed the power steering fluid was low. Topped it up and voila no more noise.. such a simple thing that took all that time to diagnose... Can't wait to get my Audi back... btw looking into rims, grilles, headlights and possible body kit, if anyone has any sites or locations that has some good stuff I would love it if you could post it.

FYI I have a black 2003 Audi A4 1.8T...

Thank you all for the help!
