Is it that easy to blow the DV? I didn't know...

I also imagine that this is an issue with the B5/6?s - was this still a prob. on the 2.0T FSI /B7 engines?

Use a smoke machine to find the leak. No boost could be almost anything.
The ECM has stored a code, run with that.
Leaking smoke will give you a visual indication of where to look.
Non OEM turbo by-pass valves (blow-off) only make noise and do nothing for turbo lag.

Well DV's are not nesacarily easy to blow but, in my case, and it seems you are in the same situation, i blew mine b4 even being chipped. The 710P under hard driving will blow. Its designed for a very smooth boost.

ecmbuster, unfortunately I've got no vag com.

thanks sonic, I will be sure to ask about the part #.
not going to be very happy if it is the DV... 1.5 months of driving and poof?? smooth driving... pfff! who doesn't wanna enjoy their audi why even make that part? hehe

i will keep you guys posted once i know what the real problem is!
