cheap or oem pads suck. get some aftermarket ones.. better quality = less brake dust and be done with it so u wont stress over it.
OEM pad are made by pagid and are very good, but a bit dusty. (Pagid makes pads for Porsche)
Hawk HPS are good aftermarket pads and are less dusty.

Dealer is correct rear break pads don't have sensors.

1. Rear brake pads should last more than you fronts by about half of your front pad life.
2. Uneven wear can only be possible if calipers are seized. so someone screwed up on a previous break job.
3. Rotors will only need changing if they were scraped by wornout pads (metal to metal) or every third break job.

My car is at a mechanic shop right now getting my brake issue looked at. It's confirmed that my rear pads (with around 30K's) on them are cooked. Mechanic thinks I may have an "issue" with my front and rear calipers. They are suspected to be not fully releasing thus causing the fast wear on my brakes. Can calipers be serviced or am I looking at new calipers front and back.

I'm very surprised by this. I've never owned a car that had 4 calipers fail at 85KM's.

Take your car to:
Ann Service
101 Toro Rd,
North York M3J 2Z1, Ontario
p: 4163985333

They are VW/Audi specialists and were able to fix similar caliper issue with my brother's jetta w/o replacing calipers.
