My A4 1.8T Avant got rear-ended last night by a 2009 Toyota Camry Taxi cab.

I was stopped at a traffice light at Yonge and Eglinton, and he just barreled into me, apparently swirving to avoid some pedestrians stepping into his lane.
I still dont understnad why he would have been going that fast, seeing as he shoudl have been slowing to come to a stop beside me, since the light was still red.

Anyways, it's been reported to the Collision Reporting Center, and will be calling my broker first thing tomorrow morning.
Police report estimates the damage on my car at $3500.

I feel for ya, as another owner of a silver avant!
Hope nobody was hurt or anything, because cars can always be replaced (maybe next one will be quattro!)

 

Thanks! Everyone is OK indeed, but I am trying to figure out if I have a sore back due to stress/being tense, or if the accident did cause it.

In either case, this time around it looks to be a repair so no Quattro just yet. Next car will definately be a Quattro though!

 

That totally suck, I know how you feel, leaving the carwash yesterday I got backed into by a Ford Explorer

 

...Been there trust me! The good news is you'll pay your deductible and most likely they will replace the bumper and paint all of that dented panel. Try and see if they could/will include a complete compound/glaze to the rest of the car to even the colour mind mind less of a problem on our silver cars. If not simply find a trustworthy detailer and the results will be amazing...ready for summer!

 

My car went into the shop today, and discount car rental gave me a Lexus ES350 as a rental. Not too bad since I was expecting a Ford or a Chevy.

In any case, I've only driven it a short while, and I am pretty sure I still like my Audi better.
