Hi guys,

My car is acting up today.
I put the keys in the ignition, turn, the car starts and then turns back off.
I give it a few seconds, and repeat the same process only to find out its happening again.

After a few tries, it finally turns on.
What is the problem here? I want to avoid calling in a tow truck..
Alternator? Battery? Please let me know, I have to fix this asap.

maybe misfire is the wrong term I'm using here.

The car doesn't start. That's pretty much it.
CEL light is not on... I doubt it's the coils as I replaced them a few months ago.
The car runs smoothly after it ignites..

 

Its a tough one try to get it vag-com'ed that is your first starting point

 

yeah it's a tricky one..
was at IT this morning and it looks like it's got to do with my key. (immobilizer cuts ignition)

hopefully it's just a matter of getting my keys reprogrammed.
will keep you guys posted once fixed!

lol misfiring is way off. I want to install a missfiring system on my ride just to **** off mother****ers! its awsome! glad you got your issue resolved
