Anyone had any experience with knock off rims like the ones you see for sale on ebay?? My one annoyance of my A4 has been the finish of my rims. There was a tiny bit of pitting on my 17" sport rims which has now turned into the finish completely flaking off and behind that finish is rough bare metal. Been thinking about turning my 17's into winter tires for next year and buying a set of 18's or 19's that look like RS4 or R8 rims. Not looking for anything fancy or expensive. Just wondering if anyone has had experience with any of the knock-offs out there and might have pics of some of these rims on their car. Thanks

 

A lot of owners run RS4 replicas and love them/have had no problems. Ditto for the R8 replicas.

Someone can probably give you a few pics/recommendations in a bit.

 

how do you clean them?? you might be burning them with the cleaner??

also they might of been repainted....never the same

 

bought the car used, so could be a chance of repainting. I clean them with the pressure washer and soap from car washes. I don't do any special cleaning on the rims on this car.
