I'm totally new to Audi but I love it! I'm wondering how would i know if the 2003 A4 Quattro i bought has sport suspension?

Have a look at the shocks - factory sport are orange. Also measure height ground to lip of fender and look at wheel gap; if it's under 26.5" and gap is less than about 2" odds are good that you have a sport suspension.

 

Depends on your definition of colour but there are most definitely red on a 2003.

You will only be able to fit 1 finger in between the fender and the wheel in the back and two in the front.

 

the gap is way less the 2" man. Not sure whats its like on a 08 but on a 03 you can barley fit 1 finger in the back.

 

Take your vin number.. google "Vin decoder".. Find a site that says it will decode your vin.. Put your vin number in it.. you will see everything to do with your car.. from gear ratios to suspension to what type of AC is in your car.. EVERYTHING!

Doing this whole measuring thing is pointless because there are so many variables that can make a strut or spring sag.

It's not pointless because a stock b6 looks like its a monster truck compared to sport suspension. Looking does the trick.

 

Sure but if his shocks are no good, its goign to be lower then is should "look" If he has a ton of crap in the trunk weighing it down, its going to "look" lower.. If he has weak springs, its going to "LOOK" lower. Variables! I just had 4 spare tires in the back of my car, and guess what, it WAS lower, we could keep doing the whole guess by looking trick and stick your fingers here and there, or just go straight to the source and find out facts.

 

Inside your maintenance/service booklet, there should be the original sticker showing all the option codes for your car. It may also be found in the trunk near your spare tire.
