High Milage CVT
Hi Everyone,
My daily Driver is a 2004 A4 1.8T FWD CVT
i bought it 4 years ago with 119,000 km and now currently have almost 260,000 kms on it. All original Engine and Transmission, i took care of the car, regular Full Synthetic Oil Changes with Castrol OWx30 and Mobil 1 filter. Only 91 oct fuel. Yes ive had to do the regular Timing belt change, the Coil packs were replaced free of charge. I did have to replace the TCU which was the only Major repair so far. i did expect it to go though. Just wanted to throw it out there that CVTs can last a while. ill be pretty close to 300,000kms by the end of this year so lets see how much this baby can take. Getting a transmission fluid flush and fuel filter replace done in 2 weeks so that should clean things up a bit again.
i love my car, hate all other Automatics, the only other car i would get is a 2006 Porsche Cayman S manual so CVT owners dont despair. CVTs can last!!
Daniel!

Nice!
These are pretty much bulletproof.
We just sold our B5 A4 which when sold had 432 XXX on the original tranny. (see sig. pic.)
It was front wheel drive as well.
Good luck!
