So today my car battery has suddenly died. I thought it wasn't a big deal—I assumed it was the little cigarette plug USB charger that I left overnight. A friendly neighbour helped me jump start the car, but now, every goddamn time I start it or try to drive, it flashes the emergency lights at me, super fast, even if I pull the key out. What the hell is going on?! Sometimes it goes away for a minute, but it comes back immediately. What can I do?!

 

OK, never mind. I'm an idiot. I didn't know that after the battery dies the car goes into security mode and needs to be locked/unlocked with the remote to prove that it hasn't been stolen. Everything's fine now. False alarm. Thanks anyway!

 

my battery has run flat on my 2002 audi a4 cabriolet.... i have just connected a battery charger and the indicators are flashing constantly and the car is making a beeping noise ...anyone know what this problem could be and how to resolve it
