Not really. Finding someone to "fix" rather than "bandaid/replace" is

I just flushed my core and system this morning. It was fairly easy and I now have heat!!! This coming from a guy that's never owned an Audi.

But you have to work around with symptoms because in the end only you know what's going on with the system; that's what an Audi specialist will do too, only he'll charge an arm-and-a-leg. Upto you...

Hi ..here is an update

I went to the dealer today (audi uptown) in markham.
There was a recall on Ignition Coils. They replaced all of mine..for free!
Also Audi will rebate me the money that I previously spent to replace the coils.
I need to send in the invoices to have them reviewed

While I was there , I asked the mechanic to check out my heat problem.
He said that my Breather Pipe from the Oil Filter Housing needs to be replaced. It is leaking oil and the oil is the smell that I get in the cabin. Also because there is a leak it affects the pressure and the amount of heat that I get.
The mechanic seemed top be quite good.

The quote to repair the Breather Pipe is $536.00 plus tax

well defiantly. He doesn't care much, he will make more money on the product, his surcharge and labour money. so my vote is yay, dump him

The independent mechanic says the breather pipe is a common problem but isn't related to the heater.

Any comments?

does anyone here know how I can verify if the Breather Pipe from the Oil Filter housing..really needs to be replaced....is this something that can easily be seen?

I am sceptical about this diagnoses

thanks

How much is the pipe itself? I might be able to get it cheaper for you and ship it out there if you are interested PM me.

As for the heater core flush this is what audi does themselves, especially on the Allroads, as they are known to get clogged and need to flushed, however they use a specialized liquid that they wont sell to the public
