sup, when I get going faster than 35 to 40 mph I get this space ship landing (quick and constant) dull or low pitched sounding whistles. I get no shaking while driving so it makes me think my tire needs to be rotated or tightened. I think it only comes from that side and It may have started after a hard braking incident I had earlier in the day. any ideas? I'll try to match the description of the sound better

Is it a whirring noise or a squealing noise? Does it get louder with speed? If you turn in one direction, does the noise go away? Sounds like a wheel bearing.

 

Yes its a low (bassy) whirling noise and it only happens from 35 to 45 mph. Higher or lower it does not occur. Thanks a lot for the support!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Jack up the corner you think it is. Then spin the tire. If you hear a little rubbing kind of noise, its the wheel bearing. Otherwise, it could be something simple like you need to get your wheels rebalanced.

could it be that your car was parked in the same spot for a long long time and your tire has gotten a flat spot of some sort?

 

I don't think so. It may not even be a noise. I need to try sitting in the passenger seat and see if it does it on that side. Only problem is I just got the car and don't trust anyone driving it. It doesnt get louder with speed. It stops past 45 mph and starts at 40. I really wanna figure it out. THANKS for support

 

Rare occurance: it may be that you broke some of the tire belts (internal).
A tire shop will figure it in 30 seconds by just looking at the wheel!
