I just ordered a dvd/nav screen for my 1.8T and was wondering if anyone else has attempted this. I am looking for some advice, as well as pictures if you have any of the transformation.

 

What year is your car ?
Did you order with harness ?

I bought the harness off Ebay, but is hasn't come in yet........I am a bit worried because all of the installers said that there is no harness available for this car and they could only do a half-decent job with other materials.

 

You will need to compare pins layout on the Symphony radio and nav +plus unit, you be able to re-use your existing plugs in your system , you might need to swap some pins around.. the extra harness that you will get will require to tap to existing harness for speed and reverse ..

Which one did you plan to install the RNS-E or Navi+Plus unit ?
Navi_plus unit you will need to get with part# 8D0-035-192 either D, G, GX, otherwise the face plate will not much your existing console contour..
