Hey all,

Just the other day my compass on the rear view mirror quit working on my 2004 a.8T USP A4. Instead of it showing the direction it now just says 'C' ...i tried turning it off and back on and even changing the magnetic location number....but nothing it just keeps reading 'C' .... does anyone have any ideas.

Yeah it is asking to be calibrated the procedure is in your Owners Manual

 

I think that "C" is for calibrate. Take it to a parking lot, drive in a circle about 3x and hopefully that fixes it, worked for a buddy of mine.

EDIT: low tech fix worked for a friend of mine but you may need to set the zone depending on what is wrong with the compass, see the manual for how to do that and which zone you are in.

 

cool thanks guys i have read in a few places that driving in circles works, or it will just fix itself over time by driving....appreciate the advice
