cel and more after triyng to reprog switchblade

Hey Guys,
Brand new member, with a not so brand new 2005 A4 Avant Quattro ;) Nice to join you.
So, as i looked thru some posts, i saw the one from 1move about reprogramming a switchblade key. Since I had to replace the battery on the one that never been used, the lock/unlock buttons do not work, but i do can unlock and start the car manually.
So i tried 3 differents methods, taken from that thread, with different keys, different switch position, with and without starting the car couples of times and none worked.
So i gave up, having at least 1 good remote, and the other one manually working.
This morning, i took the car out and when i started it, CHRISTMAS!!, Check engine, esp. Althought the check sequence showed OK
I read the dtc (with my obdII) and 13 (7 of them doubled ) codes came off! Most were related to the evap system, HO2S, o2 sensors.... I flushed them, and 7 came back, flushed again, and now it's none, but the yellow obdII led is blinking. Check engine's gone, but esp remains.
Question is: Could the multiple tries on the switchblade prog. while putting the key on start and with starting the car 2-3 times in a row, have burn or short circuited something? Or by riding the car for an hour will reset things up??
Or i will have to go at the dealer? (by trying to avoid it....how ironic...)
Thanks!
Aleks from Montreal

That sounds quite odd, first time I heard something like that happening, it could be related to something else. I am not sure why the key programming didn't work for you as I have tested it on a B6 and it works fine, even an avant. Could some of those codes been there prior to you trying to program the key? not sure if it would effect it any way but electronics are odd sometimes.

Take it for a drive and try to see if any of the codes come back and if you can post the scan on here.

Ok, after a drive, these codes came back: PO458, 0037,2257,0414,0102,2400, each of them 2 times!, and 0031

And new thing, ESP light stays on, and when i go from park to drive, it kicks hard....way harder than it was.

God, yesterday, before the testing, the car ran fine, and got inspected at the dealer! And now boom ....Doesn't look good to me, ESP fuses OK....

Start of a long week i guess!

Can i unplug the main battery and do a reset like? Or i will stall the car in my garage?

Finally, a burned relay caused all the codes and transmission glitch....125$ at the dealer. Thanks vag-com!
