so i have had no luck with the screeching issue. The car still makes that horrible screeching sound so its going back into the shop tomorrow. Ill keep you guys posted.

a little off topic but i had the yellow exclamation mark go on while parking earlier this morning. I turned off the car and started it up again and the indicator was no longer there. Anyone know what that is?

My guess: brake warning light - why dont you check your owners manual ?

 

sounds more like the esp light. Could be a wheel speed sensor. It will also go on if you turn your esp off (the button that has esp written on it).

 

With my my 04 A6, a '!' with a circle around it (but its red) and it blinks and has a warning beep while the vehicle is running, indicates low brake fluid. Maybe might be something since this is a 'brake issue' thread. But Stevelev is correct, check the manual.

as for the yellow exlamation mark with the circle around it..ive come up with 2 possibilities thanks to awcjacobs & rusty_67

1) went for an oil change not to long ago and they said my brake fluid was a LITTLE low. So im gonna get it topped off here in a couple of days and see if that will do make it go away.
2) i did play with the esp light and thats the EXACT yellow indicator that i have been talking about. Basically i could be driving or parking and all of a sudden i see the indicator on. I push the esp button and yet it does not go away. My only way of making it dissapear is shutting off the car and restarting it. Once thats done the indicator shows no more. Could it possibly just be a sensor? What does that yellow indicator mean anyways?
