Audi radio code in trunk
Does anyone know exactly where it might be kept? I looked in the spare tire area and only saw the yellow sticker on the right side that says the colour code, vech info, etc... Is it written on that sticker anywhere?

I would be intrested in this too. I just bought my A4 last week and the radio code is missing. Someone tore it out of the book and never put it back with the manual.

Hey guys the only place it would be is the manual unless the other owner posted it somewhere in the car check the storage compartments underneath the front seats, other wise its a trip to the dealer sorry to say

Its an added sticker usually at the front of the manual you cant miss it!!! It is defenetly not printed in the manual as a part of the car. The manuals are universal and it usually is on a seperate sticker/sheet/writing

!!!!!!!!!If you dont have the radio code, something you can do is remove your radio and get the 14 digit serial number that is on it. it takes special tools to remove so I just went to the local best buy and the guy there said i could use his. Now call a dealer with your VIN number and serial number ready. The first dealer I called looked it up and told me I had to bring it to them because the "system doesnt not have your car in the system." This would cost about 100 dollars and is bs. I then called about 10 other dealers and they told me that they couldn't look it up without plugging my car in. Finally, a dealer way out in Iowa hooked me up and retrieved the code for me with no problem whatsoever. Don't take the bs every dealer is paid to tell you, just be nice to them and eventually someone will help you out!

Re: Audi radio code in trunk
The dealer needs the number from the radio and the VIN number to make sure they match and it isnt a stolen radio. If you bought the radio used then I think they would need the VIN number off the car that the radio originally came out of. hopefully that helps

That's how it works, I learned it today. At the dealer they charged CAN$60.00 for 1/2 hour of work. Removed in 30 sec the radio, read the radio serial #, pair it with the VIN, log on their Audi Germany website and get the code.
