Default Antenna

Does anyone know where the antenna is located in the 04 A4 sedan?
I did a google search and can't seem to find anything resourceful!

I just took my car in for window tint hours ago, and my radio was working fine before, but now, after I got my car back all the stations are very static! And these are all local stations I'm listening to! Any thoughts? I'm not too sure of the location of the antenna, but I don't see how the guys tinting my window could have interfered with the antenna at all...hmmm....

Hi, the radio antenna is the rear window defrost system iirc. Thus when the window tint was applied on the back, the defrost resistance was either damaged or the tint plastic is perturbing it.

My radio has been hit and miss with local radios stations too the past month. Stations that came in crystal clear are now almost full static. I can have full static on a station, and the next time I get in the car, it is clear again.

I have not done anything to the rear window. (ex. tinting, damage)

Anyone have any suggestions for things I could try to remedy this?

Possibly loose connection; check the connector in the rear window and for the cable into the back of the radio.

Any pics or description on where those connections are? Or how I could check the connection of the antenna at the head unit end of things since I dont have the tool to take out my head unit?

Only way to check the head unit connection is to remove it and look. You need a set of radio removal keys for that. They can usually be borrowed from a local forum member or at worst, bought online for $3-5 a piece (usually need 4). The rear window connector is usually around the outer edge of the window somewhere but I'm not sure on the A4 as I haven't really looked.

I checked the connection for the rear window, and pushed the connections in, it seems to have remedied itself for now.

For those that wanna check theirs in the future, I removed the strip of trim on the roof just above the rear headrests. Pull with a bit of force - it sounds like the clips are breaking, but they arent. Then just checked the connections, and luckily for me I observed no cracks or damage to my antenna booster. Then just replaced the strip of trim and hopefully it stays working.

Thanks for the suggestions and pointing me in the right direction guys.
