ABS Fault Code Confusion!
Hey guys. I bought this Audi A4 2003 3.0 Quattro from someone acouple months back. He had installed a HID Light Kit/Ballast on it and every time you want to turn on the Lights, you have to turn the lights to on position then turn the car on.
If you didnt, the ! Sign would come on a Speedometer wouldnt work. Now all of a sudden i started it and it had the ! sign. Turned off and tried again, nope same !.
Now i have the fault code for it, what can/should i do!?
I have scanned it, then cleared all DTC's (saved 1st scan) and scanned it again. Here is the second scan.
If anyone wants the first scan without the clear DTC's just ask.
Thanks alot, this community has never let me down!

Hey man, I have a similar problem. I installed HIDs in my fog lights and have had them for like a year and now if im driving or just sitting there running the car and I switch my light switch from auto lights to the click my ! light, abs light, and ESP light come on? if I turn the car off and start it again it all comes off except the ESP light. no idea why its doing it now? If anyone has any ideas that would be great, Oh and I also have the dtc code 18057 that came on.
Check the grounding of your ballasts - been reports over time that the ballast EMF can interfere with other signals on our cars. Bad connections can cause all sorts of wierd electrical symptoms on our cars.
Even cleaning the battery connections might help...

Ok so it turns out it was just EMF interference cause all I had to do was re-route my hid wiring for the fog lights and now none of those abs lights and brake ! light come on any more. Thanks a lot everyone
