Did a search but couldn't find a topic on replacing the air filter for a 2002 A4 1.8T Quattro.

Hoping someone can walk me through the steps - or provide a link?

Here is a good DIY site with a K&N air filter install. There is another good air filter change DIY with better pics but I can't seem to find it anymore.

Damn - can't paste URLs yet - but check the "a4mods.com" site and look under "engine and performance" DIYs and it should be under "K&N air filter install"

I found the front air duct a little bit of a pain to remove and even more of a PITA to reinstall so make sure you look through the front grill and remember how it fits in before you fully take the duct out. For the other duct half in the rear it is held on by 2 tabs - one towards the front of the car and the other in the back. I didn't know how it was attached and had to use force to take it out and broke the front tab. If I knew this beforehand I would have been able to use a flat blade screwdriver to release the tab instead of breaking it
