Default 24 Hour Clock

Hi All

We have an '05 A4 1.8T, and the 24 hour clock dries us crazy, we would like it to read 12 hour time. I read on some websites that reprogramming the clock is a relativly simple matter. Our dealership says that our car is one of the ones that cannot be programmed for 12 hour time.

Any comments or advice?

Much Thanks

What you have to do is reprogram the "country code" with a vag-com computer module. Canada is country code "3".

Look at the clock. Minus two from the number and it's easy.

I don't have a B6 any more but I vaguely recall it being changeable when you cycle thru the time/date change with the mode button. Or was that in the B7?

Clock Reads 20:40

Minus 2 from the 20 and your get 18. So that means 8:40pm

Clock Reads 13:20

Minus 2 from the 13 and your get 11. So that means 1:20pm

Clock Reads 23:59

Minus 2 from the 23 and you get 21. So that means 11:59pm

For me, it is an easy way to read a 24 hour clock.
