I'm looking at getting some nice wheels for my 97 to make it look a bit better then the stock 16's that are on there, i found some wheels and tires from a 2004 for sale with the dimension of P235/40 ZR18, would they fit on my car no problem? Has anyone done this? would there be rubbing on the wheel wells?

Well you need the bolt pattern of 5x112, check that first I am rocking 18 with 40 tire 8.5 inches wide and its perfect

 

You also need to check the hub size and the offset. You'll probably need a 35 Offset. If the hub on the rims is bigger than the hub on your car, you'll need hub rings. Hug rings are a pain in the ***.

 

How do i check the hub size and the offset? i'm not very car savy when it come to this stuff.

 

I believe they are both 5x112 bolt pattern.
Offset on the 97 is 35.
Offset on the 04 is 42.

 

yeha 32-35 ish is the offset on the b5

They ended up being RS4 wheels, they are really close to the suspension but no fender rubbing and everything fir pretty well and it makes the car look a lot better then the original stock wheels
