...i just bought a 2004 audi A4 1.8 t Quattro in dallas texas and drove it back to calgary with out a single problem..the car is white with few small dents on the rear bumper but the black leather interior is like new...here is my question...i wanted to get a service record so i can keep up with all the scheduled things but i did a carfax report on the car and the only thing that came up was when the car was originally registered new in 2004 ....i called the dealer that sold the car and he had no service records other then that first one...audi usa/canada could not find anything plus other dealers in that area had no records so were could this car have been for the last four year? has any one every come across some thing like that?? thanks

 

Its possible the car was serviced at an indy mechanic and had no warranty issues that were put into the system.

Have you been able to contact the past owner/where did you buy from?

 

...i bought the car from a non audi dealer and the title was in a audi dealer in dallas texas name....when i called them all they had was when the first and only owner returned the car after the lease expired...why would the person not do any of the scheduled services if they were covered under warranty..or even the yearly inspections that are needed for the the dmv sticker..how about the free oil changes from audi??..the car even came with all original stickers, paper work, two keys and original tires..spare tire never used ...i keep waiting for the car to break or something but its actually working perfectly and the inspection showed that its in great shape...am i thinking about this to much??

 

Its a little strange that the dealer can't tell you anything about it, especially the lease services that were done there but you may just be over-analyzing it.
What's the mileage on the vehicle?
