Default 03 a4 ggt cvt replacement

So now i purchased my 2003 a4 from the states (fwd) and the transmission needs to be replaced. The tranny is a GGT cvt shiftless ive priced them out from 3250$ to 6700$. Now my big question is i have access to wrecked cars and i am wondering how much of a hassel it is to throw in a quattro drive system into this car and whether or not i could put in a different FWD tranmission if the quattro is not feasible. This is my first audi so i am unfamiliar with it coming from a bmw background. I was wondering if anyone has attempted this and could give me some insight.

ive asked myself and apparatny it's not something thats even worth it to do unless you love your car more than practicality the cost would be insane
and youd have to change everything almost, i have a cvt too and it's ****. dead infront of my house.

trying to find a tranny where ever i can.

Hi guys,

2004.5 Audi A4 1.8T CVT Multitronic

how many clicks do you have on your vehicles?

i have 239,300 kms right now and this car has been a dream with me,
yes ive had to replace the TCU and i did a tranny fluid flush once but other than that
its been a great vehicle.
You can get the B6 A4 O1J Multitronic 7 plate tranny rebuild kits from ebay for under $600, as long as you can find someone to do it for a reasonable cost that might be the way to go. since we have the 6 plate design which is weaker. mine has been strong so far but next year iam planning on overhauling it to the 7 plate design.
