hey guys. I have finally gotten my drivers licence, and it feels really nice to drive my 02 audi a4 quattro 3.0L 6 speed manual around. Now. There is this guy at my school, who owns an 04 acura rsx type s. Its a standard tranny as well. He claims to be putting down 212 horsepower. Now my audi is stock. If i were to race him who would win? I know the acura has more power to weight ratio, cause its all made of plastic unlike the audi. So let me know what your thoughts are guys

 

lol would like to start off by saying great thread and acura would beat you .... you would be quicker off line but still underpowerd

 

The weight in the rsx as nothing to do with the quality of the plastics. An RSX is a really good/reliable car and if he puts 212whp he's not stock. He'e probably running a kpro H/I/E with a tune. With the gear ratio of the RSX your out of the equation even on an highway pull.

You on the other hand have four doors for more ______ and you're awd.

 

The RSX will beat you but who cares. Hands down, you have the nicer car.

 

as mentioned by the other great audi enthusiasts out there, you would get a royal beating, but youve got quattro so convince him to race you in the snow

i do love it though when those 2011 Camaro Z28 are speed limited at 180kmh and i just race him ( if you can call that a race, more like follow the leader haha) till he hits 180kmh and i pull up and casually wave my hand and away i am going 65kmh faster at 245kmh!!

i did keep up with a 225hp Saturn Ion Redline Manual tranny 2 summers ago, covered 20km of highway in 3.5minutes i think going between 220-245kmh (i know i know stupid but no traffic around)
