Me too. My k&n is on the shelf. If you do choose to use it, you don't dump it in oil or you risk fouling your MAF. A conservative spray coating is enough...some people only coat the outside surface to minimize contamination.

Thanks for the tip I will try that next time.
I had no idea that other members use paper filters.

I find that the K&N works and makes the difference above 5500RPM.
This is only when I want to squeeze that last pony left to pass other cars. Sometimes I go 6 at one time uphil.

Toffino Highway is my favourite, because there is no room to bring junk cars to speed, so by the time they are at 70 I am at 170, just squeezing myself on the left shoulder with two wheels on asphalt and 2 wheels on the grass and mud, and AUDI goes straight to my amazement. Then when I turn back to the road there is so much stuff in the air like grass, mud, dust ,stones that I wonder how does it feel behind.

One time 2 dodges were driving side by side blocking the road so I went to the ditch and passed them. I just saw their opened mouths in my rear mirror, and than fingers, so since they did the fingers, I did wheel spin on the second gear on gravel at 90 km/hr. This is the last time they saw their windshields - both of them.
