The flush appears to have fix the problem. Thanks to everyone for sharing their thoughts. Appreciate it.

One last thing to check is the cap on the reservoir Is it tight and rubber OK?

Hi
this is encouraging
I have the same problem. I took my car to Jiffy Lube today to see if they would flush it for me
They said they didnt want to because it is an Audi
I brought the proper coolant purchased from the dealer

What did you flush with?..did you do it yourself?

Thanks very much

If they do not want to do it than forget it. The problem is with th air bubble when they refill the system.

The cap on the reservoir seems good. Another question, what is the coolant systems whole capacity? I put 4.5L of G12 and the rest distilled water. That should be ok right?

audigemini,

Here is a link to a DIY that are the general steps that I used to flush the heater core.

AudiWorld Tech Articles

I used a garden hose to flush the core and then flushed the system with distilled water. Don't forget to bleed your system after your done flushing.

I always recommend mixing it 50 50 before adding it to the motor.

It looks good. Just monitor it for a week as there is always some air pocket to show. One day you will see your level on min again. This is when that air pocket escapes. It is normal. Just add antifreeze at that point.
I mix 70% glycol and 30% water to protect to minus 45 degrees. 50/50 will give you protection to minus 30 or so. The more water you add the hoter the car interior. Water carries 1 calorie per gram per 1 degree and glycol will carry only 0.7.
The more glycol you add the faster the car will warm up as it takes only 0.7 calorie to raise the temperature by 1 degree.
You be the judge!

The Heater Core can be letting just enough coolant through to feel hot inlet and outlet hoses but not enough to provide proper interior heat. Try turning the interior heat on high and fan on high and see if the outlet hose cools off. If so then it's a clogged heater core.

Can try a heater core flush and a reverse core flush, sometimes it works and sometimes not. If it does not work then a dash pull is in order to replace heater core.
