Need opinion. wtb 98 audi a4....
im looking at buying a 98 a4. its mint inside and out, no previous problems, has had all regular scheduled maintnence, and new timimng belt. 223000kms. it would be my first car. looking for problems i might encounter or just opinions. asking 4500.00

timing belt, water pump, thermostat, serpentine belt + tesnsioner should be replaced every 100,000km. If you are not sure when it was done, I'd get it done to be safe. Control arms could be your next problems and the car seem to eat through wheel bearings.
Your ABS module may go if you start to see your ABS light stays lit and your E-brake starts flasing. Turn signals will sometimes stop working, is a sign of a need for a new hazard relay. I would think most of these cars do not have a working cruise control. So check that if its working...
