I rarely use foglights (only in fog or heavy snow, duh), but I had noticed that they seem to randomly shut themselves off when I 'm driving. I'd look down at the dash, and the indicator light on the switches would be out, so I'd turn them back on.

Well, yesterday, in the snowstorm, I finally figured it out. Everytime I use the right turn signal, the foglights shut off. Not the left, just the right. Weird.

 

That is strange. I can't imagine how the indicator switch is connected to the fog light switch. Is is at all possible that you're knocking the fog light switch as you use the indicator?

 

Different sides of the steering wheel. Once I figured out what was happening, I tried it several times.

Strange, anything being shown if you get the car scanned? Seems like a wiring fault/short somewhere in the stalks

 

Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing. Maybe the highbeam switch (which cuts off the foglights) is shorting against the right turn signal? Hmmm....
