Default Looking for used 1.8t for 2001 A4

Anyone know where to find a used 1.8t engine for an 2001 Audi A4 in Alberta. I heard you may be able to pick them up from the wreckers, but looking for ideas on where to start.

What would be a rough price for a lightly used motor?

TIA

Anyone have any ideas on where to source one?

Any ideas on the cost to rebuilt a blown motor?

Just grab your yellow book, call around, junkyard, wrecker. especially euro yard.

Rebuild will cost you about the same as used, less on part, more on labor, but better result.

For 1.8, you can get parts as low as $200 if no valve invole, about 6 hour labor. I can do that even in shorter. It's much easier than 2.8.
