Default Looking for a shop (key program)

Hey,

So i want to get a remote starter installed in my 03 a4, but i dont want to give up one of my remote keys, is there a place that can sell me an audi valet key, cut it, and program other then the dealer?

Located in Mississauga/Brampton/Woodbride area would be best

It doesn't need to be cut... It just needs to be a chip key thats registered to your car.. don't waste your money on a cutting the key when it will never be seen again till the remote starter is taken out.

I've searched a lot thru online and apparently the immobilizer doesn't let you start your car with a remote starter... or you have to carry around two fobs i believe.

the joys of owning a sophisitcated vehicle means more money to make after market parts work.. Its as simple as installing a immobilizer bypass!

yeah i'm getting viper system installed by selective sound... they said i have to give up one of my keys...

and i work for vw, when we program keys we have to turn the key in the ignition... so it needs to be cut... maybe i'm wrong with audi... but vw should be the same thing.... our vag com at work only does vw... and can check audi stuff but can't program...

so i msged phaff in woodbridge... its by my work i'll find out tomorrow how much to get it done...

AHHH, very good point.. I nevr thought of the coding the key by having it ignition. Your correct.. Brain Fart.. Selective Sound is 100% correct, you do have to give up a key. Also I have heard good things from many other forums about Selective Sound.

EDIT... WOAH WOAH WOAH.... I just noticed you have a 96 A4.. Is this correct.. If it is, you do NOT have to give up a key.. The chip started in the keys in 99 and newer models of the audi a4. I just checked the system at Sound Concepts the other day cause I thought i had to give up a key, I don't.. If your a 96.. tell selective sound you DON'T have a chip in the key..

Edit again.. I just read your first post again.. 03 a4.. I think i need sleep. I was reading your Audi details..
