How long does an A4 last??
Mine is coming up to 250,000 and still runs fine. Some issues are popping up but nothing unheard of. I've seen people with the same model creep up to 500k and still have it running.
I have my oh-six A4 , manual six speed s-line and I have 302,000 kms. Mostly highway. I have gone through 1 belt change, 1 set of summers (never again) , 2nd set of of high performance allseasons - I stand by them DWS and on my second set of winters mounted on 2 set of replicas and I stand by hankook Icebears and nowI have the Evo Icepts/
Like everyone else is saying .. use semi syntthetic soyou get he good additives and I change myh oil every 5-6000 kms because mostly all highway and I have a heavy foot ..lol

If you take good care of it, use full syntec oil and change it evrey 5-6,000 miles and do the preventive maintenance, they will go for a very long time.

That question has many factors. I can tell you my A4 B5 is 24yrs old. I am the 3rd owner.. I spotted her out back at a used car dealer. Purchased in 2012 with 127,000 mi. for 5k.
I have done regular maintenance as well as replaced nearly everything but the motor and transmission. I also replaced interior door panels, upgraded to leather electric bucket seats, changed out cluster and steering wheel. Added 17" wheels and Pirelli 235 45R 17.
I'm guessing on mileage because of the cluster change. She reads 222,432 but I'm pretty sure it's closer to 300,000 at this point.
Only major issue was oil sludge about 9yrs ago. I was told the head gasket was gone. Turned out to be shady mechanic wanted to buy my vehicle cheap. Upgraded the turbo to K04 this year. Her paint is really good. Minor dings on door panels been touched up.
I'm thinking she'll keep going as long as I keep doing maintenance and repair....1M miles possibly
Here she is about 5yrs ago...my Cleopatra
😉
