my car would actually feel slower as if something is off. Then a bottle of lucas and it's all fine.

up to 10% diffenece depending on where i get the fuel too... NEVER SHELL
Hi I have recently noticed my gas mileage is not so great. 11.9/100 at best..I think i am only getting about 400 - 425 kms per tank city.
Is gas mileage worse in the winter?..is this because of the heater?
Also i do go to Shell..I used to go to Esso..maybe I should switch back to Esso?

Any comments?
Thanks

I'm surprised people ask this EVERY year and everybody seems to FORGET. So get it in your heads this time!!

Winter gas will yield you less MPG. Winter Gas has more corrosion inhibitors / methanol etc. You will consistently get much LESS MPG with winter gas, period.

Ezera (Audi A4 Quattro) | Fuelly

Here is my fuel economy since I first bought my car. As with all winters I use more litres per 100kms. I do about 50/50 highway and city.

After reading your post I went to Cdn Tire

I just put a bottle of Motomaster Fuel Injector in my car.
I asked the Service manager at our local Canadian Tire. He said "we sell alot of them but it won't help to the point where you will notice a difference"

Any other comments on these products?

I cant believe some of the mileage stats you guys are giving out? Heavy foots, or somethings ups with your cars.

I have a 2003 a4 1.8t quattro manual. I definitely drive spirited but try to get the best milage out of the car most of the time.

I average anywhere from 7.8 to 9.0/100k on the highway and anywhere from 9.0 to 10/100k in the city.

I average about 650 to 700km per tank. A lot of it is highway driving how ever but with that said if I'm mostly in the city i still get around 600k.

Can't even believe that one guy that said he gets 350km out of one tank:S.....

Same here. My E36 gives me ~540 off a tank(city with 30% highway driving) these days compared to the damn b5 which barely eeks out 350-400kms/tank(city with 30% highway).

So far, the whole quattro experience has not been good. But we'll see soon when a few things are fixed up here and there.

Nope, no heavy foot. I drive conservatively, 20k to work (17 of which is highway driving). My summer mileage was a little better than now, but not by much.

Here's a question...where the hell is the air filter on a B5 1.8T? The owner's manual says to let Audi change it, and I can't even find it anywhere to have a look.

Mine is around 10 L/100 kms, city and about 8 L on hwy.

Try Lucas UCL 5 oz bottle or Redline Si-1 fuel injector cleaner.
Check your sparkplugs and clean your MAF.
