I've had similar squeaks/creaks in my right rear suspension too. I'm quite certain that my bushings need replacement. I spray them with silicon lube and they're good for a couple of days, maybe less if its been raining. They're in dire need of replacement though.

I've been able to find good prices on bushings at autopartsway.ca, but they never seem to get the right rear upper inner bushings in stock (which is really what I need). I've been searching all over to find an internet retailer that will ship to Canada for these since I'm a DIY'er and I refuse to pay full price at the dealerships and part stores. I'll keep you posted on what I find out.

Also a note to maarp - When I had a broken spring, I had to buy a replacement from an Audi dealership (nowhere else had it and I really, really looked hard), but I did get a spring compressor on loan from Auto Value. I didnt have access to a garage at the time but still managed to replace the broken spring in my underground parking stall in my condo building. It was friggin scary, but I managed to do it. A little reading, a socket set, a spring compressor and a very, very careful attitude (a compressed spring could knock your head off, and I had the bruises on my leg to prove it) and you should be able to swap a screwy shock in an hour or two if you're like me and would rather learn it and do it yourself.

NOTE: I dont recommend doing this in your parking stall. I should have had something that held the spring in place while I compressed it other than my knee. When I loosened the compressor, the old spring got loose, pushed off my knee and threw itself along the floor about 40 ft down the parkade. Would have made a great YouTube video though.

The best part is when the rubber bushing material seperates from the metal collar and the bolt seizes inside the center metal tube of the bushing. You'll need a sawsall, a new bolt and some more time!
