Default Breather Filter

ok, im new to the world of B5's, i have a 99.0 1.8T with 107,000 miles and was wondering all about breather filters and a bit of a how to if its worth it. i want to get a intercooler as soon as i get the cash, any help will be appreciated

i dont know what you really want to know about them...you can get after market intake kits...if you change the filter to a cone style and get rid of the box you then have to get a small breather filter at that point. Our cars dont have a crank case breather as far as im aware....

for performance wise, it is not smart to replace the airfilter box for a cone filter. reason behind this is because its right next to the cat.. and its just going to heat soak evreything and kills your hp. only good part of it is the sound..

for fmic.. research it. but price is about 800 for a new + labour.
