Default Audi A4 as a First Car?

Hey

I currently drive my parents vehicles, and I'm looking to get my own.

I spotted an 1996 Audi A4 2.8 Quattro for around $5000 in the GTA with relatively high mileage (190,000)

Insurance wise, I should be okay.

From what I read on the forums, if something was going to break on the B5's it probably would have by now, if it has 190,000KM, so I would take a pretty good guess it should be okay? (Such as Timing Belt, etc)

How much more life could I get out of the car at that point?

I had a 96 with 397000 on it and sold it for 7g's and the guy still has it up to 450 some same engine as the one you are looking at make sure that it is properly maintained and the timing belt should be replaced soon on it

Regular maintenance on any vehicle can make the car last that much longer. You should be ok for many more kms but in life there are no guarantees!
