I just got an A4 1.8T Quattro so I would like to find a good technician in Halifax area. The car has 70.000 Km so I'm intending to change the timing belt just for prevention.

I am from PEI, and my wife is from Bedford,NS. We live in Mississauga now,but I'm in the process of applying for a transfer to our Halifax Plant in Enfield. I have an Audi a4 2.8/1998 that I love.I will call my brother-in-law tonight to see if he knows someone, Im sure he does.Don't take it to the dealership unless you have lots of cash to waist, and a tub of vaseline.My mechanic up here is not an audi guru,but he is smart,fair,and honest.All you need is the Dealer version manual for your tech. to reference.The manual can be purchased on line @BentlyPublishers.com.

One of my friends just paied $600 to have his battery changed and reset all his car. It is a shame. All this at Dexter Audi.

Ingo know a good mechanic too.

I am from Bedford, NS. I changed the battery by myself, everything is still working without reset. I wonder why that happened.
