Hi guys, I just picked up a 1997 A4 2.8 5spd in silver, 193,000 kms for $800.00
The car is in remarkable condition! Bought it from a woman who has been the sole owner. So here's the problem... it's hard to start and keep going, it's throwing fuel injection codes and coil codes. When I can keep the engine going there is some strange metalic banging noises, I haven't been able to pin point where they are coming from yet. Does any of this sound familiar to you guys?
I'm a fairly decent backyard mechanic, done a few engine re-builds and restos
so if I have to rebuild I will, the price was so good I couldn't past it up.

This is my 1st Audi so any advice is appreciated.

did the original owner use 91 octane fuel?
