Default 2000 a4 2.8

Hi....i jus bought a 2000 audi A4 2.8 and theres only one problem with the car its making a rattling/knocking nouse from the driver front wheel wen it goes over harse bumps (e.g. driveways, uneven sidewalks harse plaza entrances etc)..but while driving on the road its fine even goin over bumps on the highway etc.... soo i've come to the conclusiont hat its either the tie rod or control arm.... if anyone else has had this problem n kno's wat it is or could be plzzz help!?

Could be tie rod, contorl arm, drive shaft ..etc.
Hard to say if u dont see car, u have to bring car to garage, lift the car and the we can figure out.

it will more then likely be the control arm or tierod. the A4 are notorious for having them fail.

I jsut bought all 8 for my B6

Its true, control arms are very bad on audis.

Remember that Audi's are relatively heavy cars. If always driven like their stolen on rough roads, then yes the control arms and tie rods will wear out fairly fast. Otherwise these parts should easily last beyond 100K KMs.
