Hey,

My headlight for the passenger side on my B5 A4 started dimming, then eventually burnt out - It's a Xenon bulb

Independent Tuning quoted $200 for an OEM Xenon bulb. They said it may be cheaper at the Pacific Mall

Do you guys have any leads on prices for a Xenon for a 96 A4?

Are you sure it is an OEM product! I doubt Audi introduced it in '96, they did not get into HID until '98 if I am not mistaking!

When each brand first introduced Xenon lighting in their lineup:

• 1993 BMW
• 1996 Lincoln Mercedes-Benz
• 1998 Audi Lexus
• 1999 Acura Infiniti Porsche
• 2000 Cadillac Honda Jaguar
• 2001 Volkswagen
• 2002 Chrysler Ford Land Rover Mini Nissan
• 2003 Saab Toyota Volvo
• 2004 Mazda Mitsubishi Subaru
• 2005 Chevrolet Dodge Mercury
• 2007 GMC Saturn

So therefore you have them installed aftermarket! You need to check which kit you have and then start searching for the proper light bulb!

I bought the car about 7 months ago, and everything is stock in it.

As far as I know, the xenon bulbs are stock too, if you crouch and look at them, you can see the blue tint.

 

Audi did not provide Xenons till 98 sorry i dont thinks its OEM

 

Unless someone put OEM from a later model, but then the housings must have changed as well!

 

i agree with them, don't think you have oem xenon.
