I want to share my experience about air filters stock box VS one witch fits straight on MAF. (cone)

I'v done about 8 changes in couple months from stock filter with stock box to cone filter and
reverse, both filters are new.

My conclusion is that with stock filter engine sound is more queit,
But with cone filter there's is MUCH more throttle response in small rpm - car quicker reaches higher rpm. And ofcourse feels more power. Even smoke is much less with sport air filter than stock. Only minus is engine sound.

Btw i did metal wall to avoid hot air from engine.

 

Maybe someone knows what does small hose from air filter box to MAP? It's vacum hose or what.
