Dyno graph for my stock b7 S4
Just got a stock dyno done today for a baseline prior to adding mods.
270 is decent for stock but I'm not sure what that short drop is in the middle.

Re: Dyno graph for my stock b7 S4
why is it so cropped? They cut out the scale and the notes i.e. if the numbers are corrected...and what the ambient conditions were.
Funny how rich the stock tune runs, tapering off at higher RPMs. 13.0 is optimal for making power NA. That's what the JHM tune does.
As I said to you before, numbers look solid. Don't worry about little blips. It's a dyno after all. Torque is plenty up there for stock. I'd have expected to see 265 WHP 255 WTQ from a stock B7 S4. You avg those two runs and you're at 266 WHP 269 WTQ. When we logged your car, it ran nicely as I told you back then.

His printer settings were off a little and the crop is in the print out. No biggie for me. It's just a stock baseline.
And yeah, I was pretty happy with the results. Can't wait for the tune though (and full exhaust).

Re: Dyno graph for my stock b7 S4
I have no idea what my car would dyno, but I know I've beaten (car length) a stock RS4 which tends to dyno 290-310 whp and about 270 wtq.
I also beat two different B8 S4s with DSG transmissions by about the same margin and they tend to dyno similar whp but much more torque than the RS4. Frankly I don't really think too hard about the dyno. This is why I say the tune is so important...as driving dynamics are what will really make the biggest difference on this car. full catless 2.5" JHM vs. full catless 2.5" APR or GIAC will probably dyno reasonably similar with the edge to JHM...but races will look funny with the JHM car walking away.

Re: Dyno graph for my stock b7 S4
it does, doesn't it. Carbon buildup is a bitch. Think about it though...310 whp is 45 whp more than your car. That's a ton.
Freshly carbon cleaned RS4s dyno up to 325-330 whp...and immediately start inching back to that 300whp range slowly over time but surely as carbon can't be stopped! Actually it looks like JHM has solved carbon buildup. THeir in house car has been running their carbon solution and they had GREAT results in the first 6 months (about 10,000 miles). They'll do way more testing first.

Nice gain, Axel. +1 to what Saki said - the tune makes a significant difference. I've driven both, and the stock S4 was sluggish and unresponsive. I guess you're probably waiting until the supercharger is in, though

Re: Dyno graph for my stock b7 S4
As for the tune, the supercharger comes with a tune (it's a full kit). Th s/c tune is different than the regular na tune for obvious reasons. If you already have a tune when you buy the s/c, they deduct the price of the tune from the s/c purchase but they still have to re-tune it specifically for the s/c. I didn't see the point in getting the tune a couple months before the s/c as I would have had to send them my ECU twice instead of once.
Looking forward to the next dyno, whenever that will be.
